Happy Thanksgiving!

I chose MediLodge of Alpena because it was close to my home and had good ratings! The team is amazing--they all care. Anything I had a question about was explained to me. I am pleased with the choice I made.

I have always received great care here. Everyone is very nice and friendly. I enjoyed the flowers in the garden.

The reasons I chose this center is because my daughter is an OT here, and I knew I would get the quality therapy I needed. In the Therapy Dept, Nancy and Rachel stood out! They worked me very hard to help me reach my goal. Also the E Wing Nurses, Missy and team; they went out of their way to answer my many questions, and they were always pleasant with a smile. It was the best month I have ever spent on myself. I got stronger every day I rested and healed, I met a new friend and got encouragement along the way from those friends. I would come back if I ever needed to — a very pleasant stay. I had fun.

Everyone has a smile on their face and a genuine desire to help. Physical therapy was professional in attitude and professional goals attainment. Facility is spotless and well maintained. Food was gourmet quality.

I chose MediLodge of Alpena for myself because I knew I would get excellent care and I have received exceedingly great care! I would need more space to list everyone that gave me terrific care. Jessie, Kathy, Mary, Rain, Kathy, Zackery, and all the A-Wing Techs were fantastic! Everyone was so wonderful to me. I even made some wonderful friends. Everyone would go out of their way to accommodate all my requests!

Everyone here was wonderful, and it was fun here! The center was very clean, pleasant people and good food! There were many friendly faces and smiles.

My Mom had been here for 2 months and I was so truly satisfied with her core and my stay has been awesome! The full "family" atmosphere is so inviting. Everyone greets you in the halls with a smile and nod. The service is prompt and the foods tasty! What more could I want? I had a family emergency after only one week into my care. Every staff person went out of their way to make my stress and medical issues resolved! I felt so blessed!

The reasons I chose Medilodge of Alpena was for therapy- very satisfied! The very dedicated staff at all levels are accomplishing their tasks and compensating for others.

Originally I chose it for Carl because of the location; the best decision we made! We received such great physical therapy and occupational therapy here. I try not to have favorites but Jess was both of ours. She was always ready to answer every question we had. There are so many wonderful people working here. This time it was like visiting family. If we had anything else to share about our experience at MediLodge of Alpena we'd say if you have to be away from home for therapy, this is a wonderful place to have it. Except for the pain in therapy, it's like a hotel, but with a lot of pampering. Our stay was the next best thing to home, a nice vacation for me. Thank you all so much!

On May 27th, 2018, I experienced a near death accident where my leg was severed. After two surgeries and nine days in the hospital away from home and family, I learned I would transfer to Medilodge of Alpena to begin rehabilitation. As soon as I arrived, the staff had all of my care coordinated making my care transition seamless. Dr. Dargis and all the other staff were very attentive and caring. I received excellent care in a way that met my personal needs and made me feel “at home” The therapy staff are top notch and committed to excellence every step of the way. Thanks to all the staff for care that felt like home.
